▶Objectives
BAGSKOL project will develop and foster capacities for innovative and up-to-date teaching content, methods and approaches to improve academic and training curricula (both initial and professional teaching education programs) in Global Citizenship Education, with a focus on culturally complex issues. It will strengthen research-based and practice-oriented studies (teacher education and education sciences) with a cutting edge understanding and teachers/educators’ empowerment on current challenges.
▶Activities
In addition to designing research-based pedagogical and didactical materials on culturally complex teaching, partners will organise ybrid learning and teaching activities for pre and in-service teachers (with e-twinning), as well as a summer school for master and PhD students. Training activities for academic/research staff will include “Train the trainer” seminars and a joint staff week (Linnaeus). Promotion actions and events will enable to develop a network to build a community of practicers.
▶Impact
BAGSKOL project will result in increased teaching capacities and transnational research excellence related to cultural complexity in Global Citizenship education and transfer of teaching and researched-based innovations, materials and approaches in partner universities. Through trained academic/ research staff on the topic and strong cooperation links developed with the school sector (teachers, educators, authorities), the project will launch a network of interest at EU and international level.
