▶Objectives
The main objective is to build the green competences and green skills of VET students and professionals in the construction sector, with a specific focus on green infrastructure. OASIS also aims at enhancing the mentoring skills of company trainers, and it facilitates the development of sustainability competencies of students/employees during WBL. Ultimate goal of OASIS is to bridge the gap between the knowledge and skills provided by VET and the expectations of employers and the labor market.
▶Activities
Activities include identification of case studies of buildings with green infrastructure, development of videos and training materials for a blended learning course, pilot delivery of the course through webinars, study visits and a summer school for VET students and professionals. Additionally, the project will develop a mentoring methodology, tools and a training programme, based on GreenComp, for company trainers/mentors, which will be applied during apprenticeships with students.
▶Impact
OASIS project expects to achieve the following outcomes: development and implementation of blended training programs on green infrastructure; enhanced green skills and sustainability competences of VET students, construction professionals and company trainers; a culture of sustainability promoted in the construction sector; improved employability of VET students; transfer of knowledge and best practices between construction industry and VET; continuous provision of high-quality, relevant VET.
