With the INVITE project, we want to support the digital revolution happening in the European healthcare system by increasing digital and professional skills in the field of inclusive digital healthcare among teachers and students in medical vocational schools. We will also support the transformation of medical vocational schools into drivers of social innovation in digital health improving health outcomes for all, especially those who are most vulnerable.

In the project, we will design, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive training program for vocational medical students and their teachers focusing on inclusive digital healthcare. Next, we will establish student social innovation support initiatives in each partner school. We will offer teachers training necessary for fostering social innovations in schools using open pedagogy and design thinking methods.

The project will result in a new curriculum and open educational resources for the INVITE program, the creation of a Social Innovation Toolkit for Inclusive Digital Healthcare, and the establishment of Social Innovation Incubators in 3 European schools. Piloting the Social Innovation Incubators will result in innovative solutions tailored to the needs of the older people who are often left out of the benefits of digital health.
