▶Objectives
Our objective in the "PEACE" project is to introduce mental health support through integrated sustainability in the youth work sector, at first focusing on debate-based youth work and then expanding our impact We want to integrate mental health awareness as part of an integrated sustainability approach in youth debate clubs, elevate mental health literacy and well-being support skills among youth workers, develop resources, establish partnerships between youth work and mental health providers
▶Activities
Mapping of sectoral experiences and knowledge transfer between institutional and NGO partners within the project consortium Update existing curriculums so that they reflect the need for mental health/integrated sustainability and work in 200 youth clubs Organise 8 national and two international training events for empowerment of youth workers Setup a 9-module, 18-day, digitally certified youth worker qualification course Create lasting cooperation between youth work and mental health providers
▶Impact
The success of this project will make our youth work more inclusive and more supportive of the different needs and realities young people face. This will happen when a network of over 200 youth debate clubs starts implementing activities that include developed methods and over 200 educators implement new skills and knowledge in their youth work. As an ultimate outcome, we want to assert developed educations and protocols as the quality standard for youth overall well-being support in youthwork
