The main objective of our project was to contribute to preventing early school leaving by focusing on supporting second-generation immigrants, particularly those affected by social, cultural, and economic barriers, and by addressing issues such as disinvestment in education and limited access to opportunities. Moreover, our work also aimed to educate children about diversity, in order to counter stereotypes and discrimination. By promoting diversity as a strength, this approach also helped to improve children’s mental well-being. All of this was achieved through the development of a methodology and activities that, in a playful way, allowed children to discover their talents, develop a positive attitude toward learning, and become more motivated about education. Another objective was to enhance the skills of youth workers in areas such as inclusive work, youth empowerment, non-formal education, and intercultural education, which are essential to ensure a greater and more lasting impact.

The first phase of the project focused on research for the development of the "Paths to Success" methodology. This methodology was designed to explore key aspects such as language barriers, the importance of parental support, the role of mentors and mentorship, cultural inclusion, and talent discovery. The aim was to foster a positive attitude towards education, helping children to understand both the value of learning and the importance of pursuing their dreams. Once developed, the methodology was shared with youth workers through an online training course. Following this, the organizers, coordinators, and youth workers gathered in Prague to co-create activities. From this collaboration, a collection of activities was born — a resource full of templates and step-by-step instructions, designed to be applied in both formal and non-formal educational settings. Finally, the methodology was implemented in the Summer Camps, where we were able to observe and evaluate its real impact on children and young participants.
