Objectives

We want to: 1) encourage elders to build their digital skills and to use social media for sharing personal stories and active ageing; 2) equip active elders and elder adult educators with necessary competences on how to create digital personal stories; 3) equip elder adult educators and younger digital generations with knowledge about effective mentorship to seniors; 4) encourage intergenerational learning and exchange of experience between elder people and younger digital generations.

Activities

We will: 1) develop a Social Media Content Creation Learning Programme and Mentorship Tutorials; 2) create Silver Surfer Digital Badges for Digital Storyteller and Digital Mentor; 3) organise a series of Seniorthons (hackathons for seniors) at local and international level; 4) build B2F Digital Portfolio, where seniors can upload and share their digital stories; 5) organise local multiplier events to promote the results and lessons learned.

Impact

1) Elder people are encouraged to build their digital skills and to use social media for sharing personal stories and socialisation; 2) Active elders and elder adult educators are equipped with needed competences to create personal digital stories via social media; 3) Elder adult educators and younger digital generations are equipped with necessary knowledge about effective mentorship of seniors; 4) General awareness about importance of intergenerational learning is raised.
