▶Objectives
The project is aimed to equip social and civic studies teachers in Lithuania, Latvia and Poland with an interactive communication guide to interdisciplinary phenomenon-based teaching of social skills to the Alpha generation. The project involves four organizations: a non-profit non-governmental think tank, an educational civil society foundation, a public secondary school, and a private secondary school.
▶Activities
We will create an interdisciplinary interactive mind map connecting real-world social phenomena with foundational principles of being and European values. We will pair it with a communication toolkit offering a checklist of communication assumptions and attitudes essential in social teaching, thematic values-based narratives, and sample messaging on topical social issues. Onboarding webinars for teachers and extensive dissemination campaigns will secure the guide's nation-wide adoption.
▶Impact
At the close of the project, we will have informed 4500 social studies teachers and achieved 600 registered users of the guide in Lithuania, Latvia and Poland. We expect to multiply teacher outreach and interest by informing and engaging 240+ key stakeholders in the national and regional educational authorities, regional education support centres, teacher training establishments, national associations of social studies teachers, and relevant educational NGOs.
