▶Objectives
The CerPol partners aim to professionalise pollination beekeeping, ensuring that pollination carried out by honeybees is a quality-assured and environmentally and economically viable investment factor for farmers. To achieve this, we need to develop a standard and a scheme for training. A feasibility study and pre-project will be conducted to gain knowledge and experience from three Scandinavian countries. This will provide a necessary knowledge base for a follow-up main project.
▶Activities
Three workshops will be conducted to investigate opportunities and bottlenecks, and formulate a necessary and realistic knowledge-based starting point. During workshops we aim to ensure realistic ambitions. The results will be disseminated in each partner country and at the Apimondia World Congress 2025. Communication will primarily be dialogue-based, providing valuable input for further work and anchoring our development work within the project's target groups.
▶Impact
We will have a gap-analysis based on updated knowledge and agreed ambitions on where a standard for pollination-services from honeybees and a scheeme for training providers and receivers of such services ought to be in 3-4 years from the CerPol starting point. We will have formal desicions from all relevant partners to take part in a follow-up main project.
