In the Year of Skills, we want to provide new avenues to strengthen the curriculum and on-the-job-training related to the hospitality industry in order to meet the needs of the industry and reverse the downward trend of applicants to vocational training in this sector. In doing so, we hope to contribute to enhancing the status of the hospitality sector, and prepare both the industry and the workforce for the twin transition toward a sustainable tourism industry.
▶Impact
Optimal results would be to introduce a curriculum that is inspirational to learners and educators alike, that teaches skills for a sustainable tourist industry and give potential new workers both pride and confidence in their job. We also want to bridge the gap between the expectations of learners and workers, and the expectations and needs of the industry. Ultimately, we hope to contribute to thriving local communities with a sustainable tourist sector.
