Objectives

The creation of the Battery Lifecycle, Sustainability and Recycling e-learning course (5 modules) will contribute to the sustainability of the sector by combining knowledge and skills from engineering field and materials sciences.Through this original, holistic, cross-disciplinary course, learners will acquire key competences to analyse old and new materials, the supply chain, the IT solutions, and will be enabled to develop new solutions to maximize the battery lifecycle and reuse of components

Activities

Students’ needs and the conceptual architecture of the BTRexpert course will be validated through scientific literature review and interviews to lecturers and companies (WP2). Based on WP2 results, the course will be developed in the WP3 and will be successively subject to a testing process (WP4). Activities undertaken under the dissemination strategy (WP5) will guarantee promotion of the project, its goals and results, and the partnership’s sustainability beyond the end of the funding period.

Impact

Results and outcomes of the BTRexpert project include: the course syllabus, BTR-Trainer digital toolbox; user-friendly e-learning platform and training materials; coaching methodology to solve real business cases. Direct project output will consist of knowledge itself on batteries, materials, and IT solutions. Knowledge that students can use to stand-out in an ever competitive job market, that professionals can spend to steer their careers, that society can exploit to achieve sustainable goals.
