Objectives

The project intends to bridge the gap of competences in the use of immersive technologies in the journalism, media and communication sector. It aims at improving the effectiveness of Higher education curricula thus reducing digital skills mismatch in the European media and communication sector.

Activities

The iStream partnership, including 5 partners coming from 4 different partner countries (Pedagogical University of the National Education Commission in Poland, Learnable and Università Politecnica delle Marche in Italy, University of Nicosia in Cyprus, Infinitivity Design labs in France), will produce supporting materials and training for curricula developers and HED teachers to support the implementation of academic courses on immersive journalism.

Impact

The partnership will create a) the iStream Competence Framework and Curriculum related to immersive journalism b) the iStream Backpack for HE teachers including supporting tools, resources and teachers’ training events. The results will enable HED teachers and curriculum developers to improve HED Institutions' offer related to the use or immersive technologies in the communication and media sector.
