Objectives

Project partners came together to contribute to digital transformation, which is the main priority within the scope of the Erasmus Program, and to develop innovative methods in vocational education and training. The THERMA-SAT FARMING project aims to develop learning and teaching resources by using innovative tools such as drones and satellites and methods in STEM education for vocational education students (14-18 years old).

Activities

Data collection and analysis studies, preparation of learning modules, UAV Training and Drone Kit Design for teachers and learners, e book, virtual museum, pilot applications as well as a learning program and methodology for image processing and remote sensing application will be created within the lifetime of the project. The learning materials will be result of co creation of all partners and shared in a MOOC platform. Each Work Package will also include dissemination activities.

Impact

As concrete results of the project, Basic UAV Training and Drone Kit Design (PR1), Remote Sensing and Image Processing Kit and Training Modules (PR2), E book and Virtual Museum with all colected data (PR3) will be created. Project partners will use their expertise and knowledge to develop practical methods to be used in smart farming and equip the students and teacher with necessary digital skills such as processing and interpreting data for better environmental stewardship in agriculture.
