Objectives

EUIPO (2024) estimated the cost of counterfeits for EU industries at 16 billion € per year, and nearly 200.000 jobs. The clothing industry is the most affected, with a stronger impact on SMEs that have limited resource to protect their intellectual property (IP) and develop efficient authentication systems. No Fake Fashion intends to train the small fashion brands producers in the field of innovative technologies that support the traceability of their products as well as their IP protection.

Activities

The major activities of NFF will focus on the development of innovative training materials to increase the capacity of textile professionals in developing efficient anti-counterfeits strategies, and accompanied by recognitions systems. Each of these materials will be tested by textile SMEs workers, unemployed and trainers to evaluate their efficiency. Then, our partners will dedicate important efforts to knowledge sharing and the creation of a wide network to promote the results achieved.

Impact

NFF will produce two major results, being a set of 12 training pills and associated micro-credentials certification system on the IPR and anti-counterfeits technological systems, on the one hand, and an authentication toolset that will provide them with practical guidelines and insights in the view of the development of anti-counterfeits strategies. With this, NFF intends to impact the professionals and the SMEs enabling them to better claim their value, increasing customers’ trust.
