▶Objectives
The aim of the project is to enhance non-formal education for adults with disabilities, contributing to their employment and social inclusion. The focus will be on: empowering professionals, creating innovative guidelines for integrating universal design principles into education, training potential volunteers, ongoing sensitization, as well as raising awareness in the community.
▶Activities
The main project activities include analyzing the local situation, exchanging experiences and best practices with partner organizations from Serbia and Italy, organizing a final conference, and based on that, creating documents available on an online platform. The situational analysis will provide a better understanding of challenges and needs in local communities, while recommendations for stakeholders will emerge from an electronic handbook available on the web platform.
▶Impact
We expect the project to result in empowered professionals with improved skills for working with people with disabilities, the development of innovative guidelines for inclusive education and work environments incorporating design for all principles, materials for direct training in the education and social care system, trained volunteers to support people with disabilities, as well as increased awareness of inclusion in local communities and the wider public.
