β–ΆObjectives

When we applied for this project, we had three main goals: Firstly, to let our students develop their personal, social and learning to learn competences through an international exchange. This was our main goal that we wanted to permeate the whole project, that is why we named the project: Inclusion through personal, social and learning to learn competences. Within these competences we decided to focus on six objectives: communication, co-operation, coping with uncertainties, learn to learn, physical and emotional well-being, and building confidence. Secondly, we wanted to include students with special needs in an international co-operation. We saw great benefits in an exchange that could give students opportunities to build personal, social and learning competences in ways not possible otherwise. Since our schools work with pupils with learning disabilities and early school leavers, we recognized the urgent need to support confidence-building and strategies for coping with uncertainties. Thirdly, we wanted to start a long-term collaboration between our schools. By working together with colleagues in another EU country we will be able to share strategies for tackling learning disabilities and reducing early school leaving.

β–ΆActivities

In our project we implemented several activities. The first two activities were digital meetings. During our first digital meeting the staff in the project met to discuss the goals of the project and how to reach them. It was also a time for the staff to deal with practical issues. In our next digital meeting it was time for the pupils who were to participate the project to meet each other. This activity was important in order for the pupils to really get involved in the project. It was an important preparation for the coming activities at our respective schools. Our third activity was the first physical workshop that took place in Paderborn from the 31st of March to the 4th of April, 2025. We were two staff and four pupils that went to Paderborn. Our fourth activity took place in Uppsala between 5th of May to the 11th of May. During this activity two staff and four pupils went to Uppsala. The last activity took place in Paderborn between 31st of August to the 3rd of September. During this activity two staff from Uppsala went to Paderborn for job shadowing, learning about how Friedrich Spee works with inclusion on and organization level and to develop our partnership.
