▶Objectives
The project aims to provide teachers in higher education with innovative educational resources for teaching students reflective data practices for sustainable technology design with, through and by data. Acquiring the skills to design technology for eco-social values will be crucial for future generations of practitioners in their strive to achieve sustainable development. The educational resources developed will be published online as an open educational resource (OER).
▶Activities
The main methodology applied follows the steps of a design-based research process, starting with an analysis of the State-of-the-art (A2.2). Thereafter, educational resources are iteratively developed and pilot tested (A2.1). The pilot results are reported upon (A2.3), the educational resources are refined iteratively and finally made accessible online as an OER (A3.1). The OER and other project results are disseminated through a series of carefully planned dissemination activities (A3.2, A3).
▶Impact
The result of this project is a set of innovative and validated educational resources on reflective data practices for sustainable technology design with, through and by data published as an OER. The OER can be used in technology design programmes to create conditions for students to grow into ecologically and socially responsible and sustainability sensitive designers of future technologies, and thus contributing to sustainable development and the fight against climate change.
