▶Objectives
The project PROBANT will develop innovative educational materials aiming at introducing children aged 8 to 12 to First Aid. This educational material will be available in the form of funny and interactive modules for each of the main First Aid topics, toghether with numerous “comic strip” style illustrations and a toolbox. This material will be available in English, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Italian and Ukrainian.
▶Activities
- The First Aid educational material will be developed by a group of experts including first aiders, educationnalists and emergency doctors. - The material developed will be tested in real situations in school classes in Wallonia. The feedback from teachers will make it possible to improve the educational quality of the material developed; it will also allow the writing of a short guide for teachers and trainers. - The material will be translated and available in seven different languages.
▶Impact
Educational material with a European dimension will be fully available to teachers, parents, caregivers and other trainers. The expected effects in children aged 8 to 12 are awareness-raising of the importance of health; empowerment through attention to one's own well-being and caring for sick or injured people; increased social engagement; improved skills in the field of health and, in the long term, better employability.
