Objectives

The project aims to enhance teacher professional development by integrating STEM and language education, increase interest in STEM among immigrant and female students, and develop digital resources and innovative pedagogical practices. By promoting interdisciplinary learning, the project will help students develop critical 21st century skills, improve academic achievement, and promote inclusivity, especially for underrepresented groups.

Activities

The project will include STEM lesson plans, workshops, pilots in schools, and online meetings that integrate language learning and digital tools. Teachers and project coordinators will work collaboratively with university professors and external partners to develop, refine, and expand these interdisciplinary lesson plans. The STEM lesson plans will include activities and digital tools that target the development of 21st century skills as well as language skills.

Impact

Expected results include comprehensive STEM lesson plans that integrate language and digital skills, improved teacher competencies in interdisciplinary teaching, stronger collaboration between institutions, and increased participation in STEM education, especially among immigrant and female students. In addition, STEM lesson plans that integrate language skills will be rolled out nationally in each partner’s home country.
