Objectives

The aim is to experiment with new digital and physical exhibition formats and create innovative and engaging methods for presenting museum collections in 21st Century. Exploring new technologies and applying them to best practices in Europe will result in a new approach to the presentation of collections that integrates modern technologies to enhance audience engagement including the educational potential. The project will explore eco-friendly exhibition materials and energy-efficient practices.

Activities

The project will include several key activities: joint research on innovative exhibition methods, including digital tools such as VR and AR; a planned visit to both museum sites and knowledge exchange between museum staff to share expertise; a planned visit to European museums that have recently opened new presentations in conjunction with new technologies, the development of new technological concepts for permanent collections and, of course, evaluation activities.

Impact

The result is a Comprehensive Report summarizing research findings, including the latest trends in museum collection presentation, digital innovation, and inclusive practices. The report will highlight recommendations for the Liberec and Groninger Museums based on the comparative analysis. The project team will propose the concept of innovative exhibition frameworks for the development of new projects that will jointly incorporate best practices, new trends, together with sustainable practices.
