Gemeinsame Vergangenheit - Verpflichtung für die Zukunft
▶Summary
We would like to implement a German-Hungarian project (Stadtallendorf - Debrecen) with young people in 2025. The aim is for the students to recognize the importance of advocating a life in democracy and resisting all forms of exclusion, especially to address current issues of racism, exclusion and anti-Semitism. This is done by elaborating on the phases of Eva Fahidi's (Holocaust survivor) life and the exclusion mechanisms used at the time.
▶Objectives

▶Activities
Organization and implementation of a joint work and meeting week in Hungary and Germany. Visiting memorial sites and cooperation with local educational institutions on history.
▶Impact
There will be an exhibition about the project, which will be shown in both town halls and at the open day in the two schools. In addition, Eva Fahidi's life stages will be presented to younger school years by the young people involved. The boys and girls should develop an attitude against anti-Semitism, racism and exclusion and get a feel for the importance of the European Union!
