Sexually transmitted diseases are on the rise. Infertility is growing, and fertility rates are tumbling. Genders are fluid and the social and political gap between girls and boys and between ethnic/religious groups concerning sex and gender is widening. Sexual education is as important as ever. We want to strengthen the sex education skills of teachers of science and humanities by learning from best practices in Sweden and Denmark and by developing + evaluating the materials created and used.

We will make two weeks of sexual education for a large group of Swedish and Danish students aged 16-19 attending upper secondary schools in the school year of 25/26. They will meet in Stockholm and in Copenhagen to learn about a great and important topic, laying the groundwork for future friendship across our border. Before we meet we will make a preparation round in the spring of 25 where we will meet virtually and, in collaboration with our students, develop relevant teaching material.

We expect the following results: 1. A set of teaching materials for our schools that we can use for future sexual education, based on best practices and extensive evaluation plus feedback from teachers and students alike. 2. Beautiful and professinal posters about sexual education for exhibition at our schools. 3. Teachers with strengthened skills in sexual education. 4. Enlightened and open-minded young people with friends for the future across the Danish-Swedish border.
