Objectives

By implementing the ShiftVET project, we aim to modernise woodworking Vocational Education and Training through the integration of digital technologies, such as 3D printing and extended reality (XR). Our goal is to provide trainers and students with innovative tools, foster digital skills that enhance the learning experience, increase employability, and support the digital transformation of the woodworking industry. We also aim to promote knowledge transfer to other industries.

Activities

Activities focused on integrating digital technologies into woodworking VET will be implemented. These activities include analysing current VET courses, designing and testing new training digital exercises templates, and creating a guide for implementing these technologies. Additionally, we will organise practical classes, workshops, and events to disseminate project results, while promoting knowledge transfer and fostering discussions on digitalisation in VET across different sectors.

Impact

We expect practical results from the project, such as a repository of open-access training exercises templates on digital technologies in woodworking VET, trainers´ guides for integrating these technologies, and a guide for knowledge transfer to other industries. Additionally, we aim to increase trainers' digital skills, provide students with hands-on experience in using advanced technologies, and foster greater awareness of VET digitalisation among stakeholders.
