Animal Lovers by Erasmus+ (ALE+) is a school project involving 3 EU partners that supports civic engagement, diversity and inclusion in a digitalized world. It focuses on animal protection and welfare education by promoting knowledge, skills and values related to human involvement in the lives of animals. By investigating and comparing the human-animal relationship, we'll try to contribute to a change for the better it and raise both pupils and adults to develop a lifelong love for animals.

We will survey farm animals and wildlife habitat, considering animal protection and welfare as connected to ethical and environmental consequences, as well as on birds, pets, stray and marine animals included. Our interdisciplinary work will combine Humanities and Sciences in theory and practice. The participants will work in / and outside school, cooperate with vets, rangers, working at animal organizations, take part in some workshops and create Online Learning Toolbox of training resources.

All participants will experience how welfare of man and animal is connected and how by responsible activity in the field of animal protection, they themselves can contribute to life improvement in general. They'll learn the difference between animal welfare education and humane education. The project will produce educational materials that will be fruitful for further progress in didactic activities of the project members. Thus, we assume "you become responsible" caring for another living being.
