Objectives

RISE aims to empower young people, particularly from vulnerable situations, by enhancing their skills in climate change advocacy and environmental literacy. Through capacity-building, mentorship, local and transnational awareness campaigns and actions, RISE will equip youth to lead initiatives addressing the intersections of climate change, migration, and conflict, ultimately fostering resilient and informed communities.

Activities

The RISE project will implement key activities across 5 work packages, including: - Transnational capacity-building training for 30 young people. - A mentorship programme to guide youth in creating a transnational climate awareness campaign. - Thematic online roundtables to disseminate the goals and key themes of the project. - Pilot actions at the local level to address climate issues. - Advocacy Days for in-person engagement and replication of the transnational campaign in local communities.

Impact

RISE’s expected results include: - 30 young people trained in advocacy and environmental literacy. - A youth-led transnational awareness campaign addressing climate change, migration, and conflict. - Local pilot actions in 5 countries to foster community-driven climate solutions. - Engagement of expert stakeholders in thematic roundtables and mentorship initiatives for further capacity-building. - Increased youth engagement and leadership in climate advocacy.
