▶Objectives
The aim of the Nourishing Wilderness project is to create a 60-hour introductory training course on the nutritional and ecosystem role of wild plants. The experiential training will provide rural community members with knowledge transfer on plant identification, collection and use, thus increasing their food self-sufficiency, their resilience and their connection with nature. Participants in the training, whether rural NGOs or people in nodes, take on a long-term role.

Activities of the project: - management and communication activities - 1 development of a training curriculum - 4 focus groups (on 2 topics, 2 x 2 per country) - 1 manual (B5/80 pages) written in Hungarian and translated into Romanian - 20 hours of e-learning material, including 30 plant cards in Hungarian and translated into English - 5 suitable (1.5 days/per session) mock training sessions in both countries - 6 multiplication events (2 x 3 per country) - 2 international meetings
▶Impact
Nourishing Wilderness is an experiential, immersive curriculum that helps local communities learn about the role of edible wild plants in their environment, both in terms of nutrition and ecosystem. Specific outcomes: 1 training curriculum in Hungarian 1 handbook (B5/80 pages) in Hungarian and Romanian 20 hours of e-learning material, including 30 plant cards in Hungarian and English 4 focus groups 5 (1,5 days/session ) training sessions in both countries 6 multiplication events
