Objectives

Our project has two basic goals. 1) We create a functioning company with two sites that will share, schedule, and monitor its production with Industry 4.0 technology. The company creates and operates smart homes with content according to customer needs. 2) We assemble these smart homes ensuring their individual remote control and monitoring using a mobile application as well as remote monitoring with the help of a server, thus modeling family and corporate usage.

Activities

We will create a website that will take our customers' orders, as well as a server that will share the tasks between our company's two sites, and oversees production processes. According to the orders, we use 3D printers to manufacture the parts needed for smart homes. We assemble the finished products from the elements we manufacture, the smart homes, which we make individually controllable by smartphones. We can also monitor their operation with the server.

Impact

We achieve two operational systems. On one hand, a company model with Industry 4.0 operating practices, on the other hand, smart homes operating according to different parameters. In both schools, these systems both contribute to a more practice-oriented approach to IT, mechatronics, and industrial IT education. Additionally, it helps our students in gaining valuable experience of both systems in the labor market and to be able to cooperate with others in a foreign environment.
