Objectives

Recognising the decreasing of community activity and mental condition of the youth, the project aims to raise awareness of volunteering reinforced by mental support, to empower staff coordinating/mentoring young volunteers, to provide practical methods of mental support. The cooperation of 4 countries (TR, GE, PT, HU) focus on developing the capacity of dealing with local volunteering and ESC hosting/sending. In long term it enhances mental well-being and civic engagement of young people.

Activities

After researching on the youth attitudes in volunteering in partner countries (720 interviewed people) (WP2) the key youth workers will be prepared at empowering workshops as learning activities (1 international, 4 local; 180 organisations reached) (WP3). It is followed by local voluntary actions, implementation impact measurement and multiplication events in native languages (4 in-person, 5 online) (WP4). During the project partnership management and professional meetings run regularly (WP1).

Impact

Volunteering reinforced by mental support become a daily practice at partners and CSOs involved in workshops, multiplication events and dissemination (4000 youth workers informed). The curricula of workshop, practical e-guide for youth workers are available in 5 languages. As a long-term impact, the decision makers will be familiar with the importance of safe mental health environment through research progress report, actions plans, proposal for impact measurement and policy recommendation.
