Objectives

The project will address the need of youth workers in Europe for innovative, inclusive and engaging tools to improve young people's mental health and well-being. The main objective is to provide youth workers with VR-based digital tools to enhance mental well-being among young people in partner’s countries. Specific objectives include identifying mental health needs of youth, co-developing VR tools, influencing policies, and raising awareness about the use of VR tools in youth work across Europe

Activities

The project will implement several key activities, starting with needs assessments and focus group discussions to identify mental health challenges and the potential use of VR tools in youth work. Next, VR-based digital tools will be co-developed and piloted, followed by the creation of e-learning modules and a Training of Trainers (ToT) course to enhance youth workers' skills. Then, a Europe-wide dissemination and advocacy campaign will promote the outcomes and influence policy discussion.

Impact

Main Outcome: Youth workers in Iceland, Spain, Belgium, and Italy are equipped with innovative VR-based tools to enhance mental well-being among young people. Outcomes include: understanding the mental health needs of young people and the capacities of youth workers; integrating co-developed and tested VR tools into youth work practices, demonstrating a positive impact on mental health; making multi-level policy recommendations; and raising awareness to promote the adoption of digital tools.
