Objectives

The Trash2Treasure project tackles the environmental impact of fast fashion by empowering young people aged 18-30 with skills in upcycling and sustainable fashion. Through hands-on workshops, debates, and training, participants learn to repurpose clothing and develop entrepreneurial skills to create eco-friendly businesses.The project aims to reduce textile waste,promote sustainable consumption,and foster long-term change by equipping youth with the tools to drive environmental and social impact

Activities

The Trash2Treasure project will implement upcycling workshops where participants learn to repurpose clothing, alongside debates on the environmental impact of fast fashion. Entrepreneurship training will equip participants with the skills to create sustainable businesses. The project will also host local upcycling events to raise community awareness and culminate in a final conference and exhibition showcasing the participants’ upcycled creations, promoting sustainability and creativity.

Impact

The project expects several key results and outcomes. Participants will gain practical skills in upcycling and sustainable fashion, leading to reduced textile waste.The project will foster increased environmental awareness, particularly regarding fast fashion’s impact. We anticipate the creation of youth-led sustainable businesses, contributing to job creation and entrepreneurship.The project will strengthen community engagement and promote a culture of sustainability and responsible consumption
