Objectives

To promote: - inclusion, non-discrimination, and acceptance of diversity from the Primary Education ages, fostering knowledge, understanding, acceptance, and interaction with local and international peers by introducing and familiarizing children with the cultural, linguistic, and ethnic differences within the European school population - ecological awareness - arts and students' creativity in artistic expressions, addressing low proficiency in basic skills and learning disadvantages.

Activities

The organizations will select classes with ethnic diversity and ages ranging from 8 to 10 years. In each semester, every school will prepare 2 songs in local languages (or dialects) from immigrants or ethnic backgrounds and contribute to the lyrics of a common song under the theme of ecology. The songs will be shared across countries, translated, and worked on. Online meetings and presentations will connect the classes. Mobilities include local performances environmental actions and assessments.

Impact

We aim to achieve a direct impact on the children and teachers involved in the areas of inclusion and acceptance of cultural differences and ecology. (To assess this impact, we will employ a feedback survey.) Our intention is to disseminate this practice throughout the entire MUS-E network as a standard practice and within the local structures where the schools are situated. We will launch a website, a YouTube channel, a printed and PDF songbook, and share content on Erasmus+ channels.
