Objectives

The main goal of the project is to train educators who will provide disaster preparedness training to young people and local communities. By focusing on floods, earthquakes, and wildfires, the project will help build resilience in disaster-prone areas. The aim is to reach at least 3,500 participants, especially disadvantaged groups, ensuring they are better prepared for potential disasters.

Activities

The project includes three LTTAs and a one-month-long workshop series. Educators will conduct both online and in-person workshops, with at least 500 participants per country. These activities will focus on disaster prevention and preparedness, community engagement, and developing practical skills. Three VTMs will guide the project’s management and ensure that all activities are aligned with the objectives.

Impact

The project will produce three booklets and three disaster preparedness guides, along with various digital resources shared on platforms like eTwinning and EPALE. It will train at least 1,500 direct participants and reach an additional 2,000 people indirectly. The materials developed will continue to benefit communities after the project, fostering long-term disaster resilience.
