The main objectives of the BLUE&GREEN project are: - to support sustainable farming practices, vocational education, and training through the use of vertical farming and aquaponics. - to provide vocational training in ecologically friendly farming practices in order to strengthen local farming communities in challenging conditions. - to Educate young farmers and VET schools about aquaponics.
▶Activities
Tasks will be completed by the BLUE&GREEN project by: 1. Developing a comprehensive Guide using modules. 2. conducting workshops and providing young participants with hands-on training in vertical farming and aquaponics. 3. creating Sustainable Farming Demonstration Sites that will act as role models for environmentally responsible and productive farming. Also, a website, 8 newsletters, 3 local piloting trainings, 25 Youthpasses, 2 in-person and monthly online meetings and social media page
▶Impact
Positive outcomes from the BLUE&GREEN project are anticipated, including the provision of sustainable agricultural knowledge and skills to participants. By using creative methods, the cross-cultural partnership will empower nearby farming communities and promote the sharing of best practices and information. Improved food production and self-sufficiency under difficult farming conditions will result from this.
