Objectives

The main objective of the Circularity is Scool! project is the co-creation and testing of a comprehensive circular schools toolkit to support schools in adopting the principles of circular economy at both educational and operational level. The project aims to empower school communities to become agents of change by providing circular economy education and hands-on circular practices, to strengthen key competences and green skills and to showcase circular applications in school settings.

Activities

The main activities of the project are: A1: Project management and coordination (including the development of a project webpage). A2: Circularity is Scool! Toolkit (including a needs analysis, participatory design workshops, student workshops, circular applications, sharing experiences event, development of the toolkit). A3: Dissemination & Exploitation (including campaign, train-the-trainers workshops). A4: Quality management and Evaluation (including evaluation and improvement of toolkit).

Impact

Results include: Enhanced environmental awareness and action (development of circular applications in 2 project schools, >50 students engaging as ambassadors). Strengthening Teachers’ Competences (training & tools for integrating CE into teaching, professional development, >60 teachers trained). Open-Source Educational Material for Circular Schools (accessible resources for educators to support CE education and applications, establishment of replicable framework for integrating CE in curricula).
