TRAIN-AI aims to enhance adult trainers' competencies in integrating AI-driven tools into their teaching practices, focusing on heutagogic and andragogic approaches. The project seeks to foster inclusivity by reducing the digital divide among underrepresented groups, particularly women and older adults. By equipping trainers with AI tools and skills, the project aims to create adaptive and inclusive learning environments that support diverse adult learners effectively.

The project develops AI-supported chatbots, creates a blended training and mentoring program with OER materials, and conducts pilot trainings. Activities include researching AI integration in adult education, developing curriculum and learning materials, organizing train-the-trainer events, and implementing national pilot trainings. The project will also focus on promotion, sustainability planning, and scaling through awareness campaigns, webinars, and network building.

Expected results include enhanced digital competencies among adult trainers, increased confidence in utilizing AI tools, and development of AI-enhanced training modules. The project aims to create a mentorship network, produce OER materials, and implement a tested blended learning curriculum. Outcomes also include AI-powered chatbots, a sustainability plan for long-term impact, and an expanded network of adult education professionals engaged in AI integration, reducing the digital divide.
