Objectives

The project aims at strengthening public engagement with the twin green and digital transitions in Czechia and Germany, in particular in the form of accessible non-formal education for an interested audience and civil society organisations and initiatives. It focuses on the social and ecological impact of digital technologies rather than decoupling them from democratic political debates, and promotes social innovation as a means to establish broadly accepted sustainable digital practices.

Activities

Besides the cooperation and capacity building among the partner organisations, the project activities consist on the one hand in the development of participative and innovative educational methods, gathered and published as freely available educational material, and on the other hand in the dissemination of knowledge on the topic through online publications and a self-learning website conceived for a broader audience.

Impact

The project focuses on the production of educational material and dissemination, resulting in an improvement of educational work on the complex issues of the green and digital transitions, and in a raised awareness about the impact of digital technologies in the environmentally-focused civil society. These results lay the foundation for future work and thus enable an informed democratic participation to the design of socially just digital and ecological transformation processes.
