Due to the rapid advancement of technology and the huge impact it has on our society it is necessary to help teachers advance rapidly as well and shape the way that education needs to adjust. For instance, AI is changing the way we work and most schools have not found a good way of dealing with it. It is clear that many jobs will disappear forever and new jobs will be created, so schools are facing tremendous challenges to prepare students. This project will help teachers prepare for the future.

With the project we want to run two international barcamps, one in Germany and one in Sweden. We want the barcamps to last for a long weekend, starting on Friday and ending on Sunday. The idea is to get teachers from all partner schools together along with experts in various topics and students. During the barcamps we plan to work on practical solutions to the current challenges we face in education. Apart from the barcamps we also have preparation activities and online meetings.

We want to work on solutions together so that we end up with ideas and approaches that can be implemented in our schools. We expect to develop a structured approach that lets us focus on a productive and result-driven exchange which leads to a change in how we teach and how we see the future of education in schools. We are bringing together educators and students with the mindset to innovate and with the understanding that the rapid changes in our society make rethinking education necessary.
