RURAL-SECAPs aims to empower seniors in rural communities to actively participate in local climate action, leveraging their traditional knowledge by: - Develop accessible educational materials. - Participatory methodology to enable seniors to influence local climate policies. - Create active learning environments in rural areas. - Facilitate transnational exchanges for seniors. - Strengthen collaboration among small rural organizations to improve adult education.

The project will be structured around eight key activities to achieve its objectives: -Engagement of rural actors and traditional knowledge holders. -Development of training materials. -Design of a participatory methodology. -Training sessions for educators -Local implementation pilots to test the methodology in rural settings. -Transnational virtual exchanges to foster cross-border dialogue. -Communication strategy and dissemination. -Monitoring and evaluation.

The project aims to deliver concrete, impactful results that empower seniors and support rural climate action: -Guide and explainer video for understanding Climate Action Plans. -Structured participatory methodology. -Training for educators and local facilitators. -Pilot sessions in three rural municipalities (Azuebar, Fontecchio, and Alcotium). -Best practices of climate action for rural seniors. -Comprehensive communication and dissemination strategy and EPALE Community of Practice.
