Objectives

The main objective of CORAL is to introduce adults over 45 to collaborative robotics and address the deeply ingrained misconceptions surrounding the adoption of automation and green processes in their lives. CORAL aims to equip adults with the necessary skills for Europe’s digital transformation in robotics, ensuring their full participation and preventing exclusion, attracting talent from women and individuals with disabilities, who have historically been excluded from this field.

Activities

In order to achieve the main objective, a theoretical and practical course on collaborative robotics, its applications, and its benefits for worker safety and environmental sustainability has been co-designed and tailored. This course will be incorporated into the training portfolio of both participants training centers. To consolidate the knowledge, two in-person workshops will be held in both countries, along with two multiplier events aimed at fostering greater outreach to vulnerable groups.

Impact

CORAL will promote the inclusion of at least 50 adults in newly created positions resulting from the digital transformation of industries, equipping them with robotics training fully tailored to their needs. As a result, this initiative will help address the shortage of Europe skilled professionals in traditional sectors, strengthen regional innovation, and foster access to qualified positions without any discrimination based on age, disability, or gender. A widespread dissemination is expected.
