Objectives

All World Heritages and UNESCO Geoparks teach students about biodiversity, climate change, geological and cultural heritage, and sustainable resource use.Education motivates youth and communities to fight climate change and live sustainably. Thus, this project will teach students about and prepare them for a green future through local geopark-World Heritage sites in partner countries. The students will be educated about geo- and environmental protection issues.

Activities

We have 5 WPs.The first one includes project management. In WP 2-3-4,we are producing a curriculum“Mystery of Planet”and a mobile application“Digital Heritage”as project results. We will hold two trainings for staff and 1 virtual,3 exchanges of pupils in which they explore the UNESCO Geoparks and World Heritage Sites and gain environmental vision, producing documentary films in the end.The last WP is about dissemination and sustainability of the results, ensuring Erasmus co-financing discernibility.

Impact

The project results are a curriculum “Mystery of Planet” and a mobile application “Digital Heritage”, newspaper pieces of writings, eTwinning project and two online eTwinning event, project website, Documentary Films, local events and so on as tangible results. As for intangible results, we will raise students’ environmental awareness to protect the natural heritages on the earth and make educators well equipped with training them about green skills through Geoparks and World Heritage sites.
