This project enhances the skills and capacity of NGOs supporting and empowering single parents in Finland and the Netherlands. It strengthens adult educators' competencies in empowerment, communication, diversity, and inclusive advocacy, equipping them with tools to promote social inclusion and increase single parents' awareness of their social rights, civic participation, and well-being. By leveraging European networks, the project fosters broader social inclusion in Europe.

The project includes structured knowledge exchange through two site visits for adult educators (Helsinki-Amsterdam), involving mutual learning sessions, interactive workshops, identifying best practices, and visiting successfull coalitions. Educational resources will be developed, including a best-practices booklet on empowerment, diversity, communication, and advocacy, an adapted “Durven Doen” methodology for empowerment, and a list of policy proposals to support advocacy efforts in Europe

The project results include enhanced skills and perspectives of adult educators and valuable learning-support materials. Site visits and workshops strengthen practical competencies and shape the produced content. Key outputs include a best-practices handbook on empowerment, diversity, communication, and advocacy, an adapted empowerment methodology, and policy proposals for advocacy in Europe. Open-access resources will ensure broad dissemination and promote the social rights of single-parents.
