Objectives

The DigiCareVET project aims to enhance digital competence in vocational education for the social and healthcare sector by equipping educators and students with the skills, tools, and pedagogical methods needed to integrate welfare technology into training. By bridging the digital gap in healthcare VET, the project seeks to align education with labor market demands, ensuring that future professionals are prepared to work in increasingly digitalized care environments.

Activities

The DigiCareVET project is structured around a series of activities that support the integration of digital competence in vocational education for the social and healthcare sector. These activities are designed to equip educators, students, and industry stakeholders with the necessary skills and tools to align training with the increasing digitalization of healthcare. The activities are divided into research, development, implementation, training, and dissemination.

Impact

The DigiCareVET project will deliver a Digital Transformation Toolbox, including interactive learning materials and pedagogical models for digital healthcare training. Educators and students will gain enhanced digital skills, improving teaching quality and employability. The project will strengthen VET-labor market alignment, ensuring long-term adoption of digital tools. A sustainability strategy and policy recommendations will secure the project’s lasting impact in European VET.
