▶Objectives
The project's primary motivation stems from the alarming rise of xenophobia, racism, and discrimination experienced by immigrant and refugee communities across Europe. Objectives: 1-Foster intercultural competence for teachers. 2–Create and enact inclusive pedagogies. 3- Develop a healthy, supportive, inclusive school climate. 4-Promote awareness about migration and cultural diversity. 5-Empower student voice.
▶Activities
Students will; –research historical and contemporary migration patterns. –engage in discussions and debates on topics related to migration –conduct interviews (with appropriate ethical considerations) with migrants and refugees in their local communities to gather personal narratives and perspectives. –analyze case studies of successful and unsuccessful integration initiatives. –organize community events or workshops to raise awareness about migration issues.
▶Impact
The project expects to realize the following outcomes: 1-Increased intercultural competence among teachers. 2-Improved academic performance and social-emotional well-being of immigrant and refugee students. 3-Enhanced intercultural understanding and respect within the school communit. 4-Development and dissemination of innovative teaching practices.
