Objectives

The WaterWise project brings together five European agricultural schools to address the dual priorities of combating climate change and fostering innovation in vocational education and training (VET). The project aims to: Raise awareness about water-related challenges linked to climate change, including the water cycle, its causes, consequences, and sustainable solutions. Enhance educational innovation by sharing transferable teaching tools, training teachers, fostering student collaboration.

Activities

Creation of collaborative online magazines exploring local water challenges and solutions. Teacher training sessions to exchange innovative tools like the Water Puzzle workshop and game creation techniques. Student transnational meetings focusing on hands-on activities such as designing dry gardens, and exploring water management practices. Use of digital tools (Canva, Actionbound, e-Twinning) to develop ICT skills and facilitate collaboration. Dissemination of results via on-line platforms, etc

Impact

Increased awareness among students, teachers, and local communities about sustainable water use and climate change impacts. Development of reusable innovative educational resources as well as creativity, including games and magazines. Improved digital and linguistic skills for both students and teachers. Strengthened cross-cultural cooperation and professional development through transnational exchanges. Dissemination of sustainable water management practices across participating regions.
