Objectives

DT4DP aims at fostering innovative uses of virtual reality technology in the context of VET training by integrating very different fields of knowledge namely craft and digital technologies– traditional decorative painting, architectural and object design and informatics design–, in order to improve employability success specially within students of fewer opportunities and to promote the spreading of digital tools in occupational fields that usually do without.

Activities

Developing an AR/VR educational environment fed with content created together with decorative painting and architecture design specialists. A decorative painting worksite in a historical site to promote professional, social, and cultural exchanges and share environmental sensitivity. The creation and testing of an e-learning course to become familiar with AR/VR environment operation adapted to architecture design and decorative painting needs or even learn how to create one from scratch

Impact

-An open access e-learning course to learn how to operate a digital tool to create virtual environments, focusing on how to depict painting / artisanal techniques and architectural design. -A painted mural in a historical site within a public accessible location -A virtual tour of the painting project -A digital visual report narrating the whole project and stating pedagogical recommendations -A learning agreement between Artemisia and EGALEO to collaborate within their specialisation
