▶Objectives
The project aims to develop support tools that enable people with disabilities to choose and define their living environment. These tools are based on principles of self-determination that ensure that individuals are actors in the decisions concerning their habitat. The project is based on practices that can be reproduced in various European contexts. It promotes social inclusion by enabling the people concerned to play an active role in society.
▶Activities
Experiences of organisations supporting people with disabilities in three European countries will be pooled. Support and training tools will be selected and developed during transnational meetings. They will then be trialled locally within the network. The people directly concerned will be involved in the development and testing of these tools.
▶Impact
Support tools promoting the self-determination of people with disabilities will be made available on an open platform: training workshops for choosing accommodation, adapted equipment solutions, processes for mobilising networks and local authorities. There are multiple target audiences: associations, sports, culture and leisure organisations, citizens' groups, and finally local, national and European decision-makers.
