Objectives

Reframe the Story aims to develop students' critical thinking and social skills by involving them in the co-creation of alternative historical narratives. This project promotes inclusive learning, helping students explore historical biases and challenge dominant narratives. It also equips teachers with innovative tools and methods to make learning more interactive, interdisciplinary and engaging, to reduce disengagement and encourage participation.

Activities

The project will create five narrative boxes offering alternative historical scenarios, supported by teacher training, participatory workshops, and a digital platform. Two transnational training sessions will train educators in interactive storytelling and media literacy. Schools will pilot-test the resources, integrating uchronia into their curricula. An online platform will disseminate materials, ensuring the project’s long-term impact across Europe.

Impact

In the short term, the project will improve students' engagement, critical thinking, and collaborative skills through interactive learning experiences. Teachers will gain new pedagogical approaches, making history and media education more inclusive and engaging. In the medium term, the project will foster better school inclusion for disadvantaged students, reduce disengagement, and equip educators with sustainable teaching methods. The online platform will ensure long-term access to resources.
