▶Objectives
The Civic Lab for Youth project facilitates youth engagement in french speaking Europe through volunteer activities tailored to their environment and their needs. It promotes solidarity and the inclusion of migrants by connecting young people with local organizations. Finally, cooperation between France, Belgium, and Luxembourg will foster the emergence of new engagement models that can be transferred to other audiences and European contexts and realities.
▶Activities
The Civic Lab for Youth project facilitates youth engagement by developing methodological tools, including a toolkit and a training program to support volunteers. It implements local actions in academic settings as a public space, involving young people in solidarity missions with migrants. Finally, an awareness campaign, a video, and a best practices guide will help share the project's key insights
▶Impact
The project mobilizes and trains young people in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg for solidarity actions with migrants. It includes 12 local initiatives in the three consortium countries involving 120 young participants, providing them with a first volunteer experience and transferable skills. Around 100 beneficiaries will receive support in language learning, access to rights, and social integration. A toolkit will help sustain the model and strengthen transnational cooperation.
