▶Objectives
Our overall aim is to promote trauma-informed care practices within our organisations and share it with people working in the social sector. Through this we will improve our work with previously homeless clients, and integrate the newly acquired skills into our work. By creating a guidebook we will spread the experience and knowledge of trauma-informed care and create organisational practices to improve our services.
▶Activities
During this project we will organise exchanges and site visits to share each organisation's experiences and learn from each other. We will channel participants' experience and knowledge into creating a guidebook on the relation of trauma-informed care and Housing First practices, which will be open to all working in the social sector or homeless services. To conclude the project we will organise a workshop for social workers, and share our results to develop their knowledge.
▶Impact
The primary result of the project will be the spread of knowledge on trauma-informed care among homelessness and housing service providers. PPs active in these fields will exchange experiences through mutual learning in order to improve their professional knowledge on trauma-informed housing first practices. By the end of the project, a guidebook will be published and disseminated to other stakeholders. This will ensure that trauma-informed practices are spread in the whole sector.
