▶Objectives
The project aims to develop, implement, and evaluate an accessible, high-quality, up to date university curriculum with innovative teaching methods to support the professionalisation of prevention professionals. Pilot testing, stakeholder engagement, and strategic dissemination will ensure the efficacy of the programme. It will contribute to evidence-based prevention, influence policies to promote prevention science over the still present, (sometimes harmful or ineffective) outdated practices.

Definition of a competency architecture at different levels of prevention activities; developing and pilot testing an evidence-based university curriculum based on prevention science, incorporating innovative teaching techniques; collecting feedback from participants and trainers; refining the curriculum based on the feedback; disseminating project results through conferences and publications; engaging policymakers to acknowledge the need for professionalisation and quality improvements.
▶Impact
We tackle sector challenges by developing a curriculum promoting professionalisation. We provide accessible, up-to-date knowledge for professionals and graduates, bridging academic training and practice. We enhance prevention work’s reputation by engaging policymakers to integrate this certification into national systems, addressing human resource gaps for sustainability, and strengthening universities’ role in prevention through education, research, practice, and policy collaboration.
