▶Objectives
AIRECH is an innovative VET model in which VET providers, companies, business associations, and technological partners cooperate to safeguard and transmit the professional knowledge of European excellence-driven productions facing generational turnover challenges. VET didactics is being innovated through the development of AI-based solutions that both preserve the distinctive know-how of these professions and make it accessible and attractive to younger generations in their learning process.
▶Activities
The project involves the development, testing, validation, and release of conversational agents based on generative AI (one for each production system considered), which, as repositories of craft-specific knowledge bases built ad hoc by the project’s target groups, become interactive Chatbot Assistants supporting both students’ learning processes and teachers’ teaching processes, thus digitally, inclusively, and attractively innovating VET contexts.
▶Impact
The project aims to safeguard and transmit historical professional skills through the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence. The AI agents developed within the project have multi-level potential: they serve as digital knowledge repositories, preserving the craft-specific know-how, while also acting as interactive assistants in the learning and teaching processes within VET. In the future, they can be employed by businesses for both initial and continuous training.
